Container load calculator for mixed boxes, pallets and pipes
Estimate how boxes of different sizes, loaded pallets and long bundles of pipes or profiles can be distributed in a 20 ft, 40 ft or 40 ft High Cube container.
The planner checks item orientation, internal geometry and payload. It shows units in the first container, estimated containers required, used volume, net cargo weight and remaining payload.

What the planner checks
Each item is tested in allowed orientations against remaining 3D spaces and payload. A new container is opened when no valid placement remains.
Practical use
Combine 60 × 40 × 35 cm cartons, loaded 1.20 × 1.00 m pallets and 6 m pipe bundles in the same plan. Changing quantity or weight updates container count and net cargo weight immediately.
Planning limits
- The result is an estimate, not a certified loading or lashing plan.
- Confirm actual container, door and payload data with the carrier.
- Floor loading, center of gravity, axle limits, dunnage and safe handling require professional review.
How to read the load plan
Units in the first container and net cargo weight are the primary planning outputs. Volume used indicates geometric occupation; payload used indicates weight occupation. The tighter constraint deserves attention first.
Unpacked units mean the heuristic found no valid remaining placement under the selected orientation and payload assumptions—not necessarily that no expert arrangement exists.
Avoid these planning errors
- Entering net product dimensions instead of transport bundles
- Ignoring door opening and handling clearance
- Assuming theoretical fit is a certified lashing plan

Can I mix boxes, pallets and pipes in the same container?
Yes. Add a separate cargo line for every box size, loaded pallet or pipe and profile bundle. The planner combines them in one load while checking dimensions and payload.
Can I mix different box sizes?
Yes. Add as many cargo lines as needed, each with its own dimensions, quantity and unit weight.
Does the planner respect weight?
Yes. It stops loading before the reference payload is exceeded and shows net cargo weight and remaining payload for the first container.
Can it calculate pipes and profiles?
Yes. Select profiles / pipes and enter the outside dimensions and weight of each transport bundle, not each individual piece.
